Academics

Baker Elementary School works hard to provide the highest quality education for all of its students.  Our teachers and students work diligently on the Tennessee State Standards everyday in their classrooms.  The standards are taught in alignment with the Maury County Pacing Guides to ensure that our students are on track with other students in the county. 

Beyond the core instruction in the classroom, Baker Elementary offers a daily RTI block.  This time allow students to work with teachers in small groups on focus standards/concepts that they are having difficulty with.  Students who do not need these focused lessons also go to small groups with our Special Area teachers.   These students work to extend their learning with practice and reach activities during this time each day.

All students get to participate in our Special Area classes as well.  Baker students visit the Library, P.E., Music, Technology, and Guidance classes through the week.
